  • The initiative uses data and technology to manage food reserves and monitor market demand. Starting with over 600 partners in the Greater Jakarta area, the program will expand across 43 branches nationwide.

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta — Indonesian state-owned food holding company ID FOOD has launched the Warung Pangan platform to strengthen the trade ecosystem, promote digitization, improve distribution planning, enhance market analysis, and monitor food reserves. This initiative aims to ensure supply availability, expand public access, and improve supply chain efficiency.

ID FOOD President Director Ghimoyo, made the statement following the launch of Warung Pangan by Indonesia’s Vice Coordinating Minister for Food, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, in Jakarta on Monday, July 20, 2026. According to him, the program was developed in line with Danantara’s directive to strengthen the food trade through technology and integrated data management.

“Warung Pangan within the ID FOOD Group is now being strengthened as a more structured, data-driven distribution ecosystem, from supply planning and product distribution to market demand monitoring,” he said.

He explained that in the initial phase of this strengthening initiative, the launch was carried out simultaneously across 32 locations and 640 Warung Pangan Partners in traditional markets throughout the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). Moving forward, these numbers will continue to expand.

“The distribution model is structured in tiers. Warung Pangan Stock Points, serving as the Tier 1 network, act as service and distribution hubs, while Warung Pangan Partners, as Tier 2, bring products closer to consumers,” he stated.

Ghimoyo further said this scheme is expected to streamline supply, shorten distribution channels, and position Warung Pangan Partners as food service outlets that meet market needs. The program is also designed to support and strengthen various existing government food programs through an interconnected distribution network.

Following its successful launch in the Greater Jakarta area, the latest version of the Warung Pangan program will be rolled out across 43 branches nationwide. Its implementation will be tailored to network readiness and the primary needs of each region.
