TNI AU Improves Athlete Development Through Archery Championship

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Air Force (KASAU) Cup 2026 Archery Championship reaffirms the commitment of the Indonesian Air Force in supporting athlete development thru competitive, sportsmanlike, and sustainable competitions. After a series of matches that took place with great enthusiasm, the championship officially concluded at the Parako Brigade 1 Quick Reaction Force (Pasgat) Shooting Range on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

In a written speech read at the closing of the championship, Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono stated that the championship aimed not only at determining the winner, but also serves as a platform for athletes to test their training results, measure their skill development, and gain competitive experience.

"I hope that this championship achieves not only success today, but also becomes part of the process of producing athletes who can compete at the national and international levels and bring achievements for Indonesia," Marshal Tonny said.

In a press release received by RRI VOI, Monday, July 20, 2026. The Kasau Cup Archery Championship 2026 was attended by more than 600 athletes from 110 archery clubs in various regions. The high level of participation is considered to reflect the great potential of archery in Indonesia.

As an innovation in the development of the archery sport, the Indonesian Air Force also presents a speed archery exhibition class that combines speed, accuracy, and concentration. At the end of the competition, Fast Kodamar emerged as the overall champion after winning 15 gold medals, five silver medals, and five bronze medals. SACH Archery secured the second position with a collection of seven gold medals, two silver medals, and five bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the Indonesia Air Force Archery team ranked third with six gold medals, 10 silver medals, and six bronze medals.

Thru the organization of the Kasau Cup 2026, the Indonesian Air Force hopes that the development of national archery athletes will continue to progress and be able to produce more outstanding athletes who can bring honor to Indonesia on both national and international stages.
