RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto convened a Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday, July 20, 2026, as a mid-year evaluation forum ahead of the Red and White Cabinet’s two-year mark.

The evaluation, held in the run-up to Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, assessed government achievements and sought to accelerate the completion of pending programs.

“We’ve worked hard in our first two years. Our achievements have been significant, but we don’t fully realize it yet,” President Prabowo said, as quoted by Antara.

He urged ministers and institutional leaders to use the evaluation results to improve policy, stressing that the exercise was not meant to compare performance with previous administrations but to address national issues amid global challenges.

President Prabowo highlighted distortions in the national economy caused by practices such as underinvoicing, transfer pricing, smuggling, and falsifying trade reports, which he said have led to the annual outflow of hundreds of billions of dollars in Indonesian wealth.

“These findings are supported by data from international institutions, including the United Nations. If the leakage of hundreds of billions of dollars is allowed to continue, we can imagine what the fate of our nation will be,” he said.

While acknowledging that challenges have been greater than expected, President Prabowo noted that the government has resolved more than 108 strategic issues during his approximately 18 months in office. He reminded cabinet members not to become complacent and to remain focused on improving performance.

The meeting also discussed priority programs, including food security, the Free Nutritious Meals initiative, digitalization of education through interactive school panels, energy security, investment, village cooperatives, and housing provision.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, cabinet ministers, special presidential envoys, and heads of state institutions attended the meeting. The evaluation results will be included in the government’s performance report, to be presented to the public ahead of Independence Day on August 17, 2026. ***
