RRI.CO.ID, Nusantara – The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) continues to accelerate Phase II physical development to achieve the goal of making Nusantara Indonesia’s political capital by 2028, in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 79 of 2025. Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority Basuki Hadimuljono said the acceleration is being supported through regular monitoring and evaluation involving ministries and government agencies, investors, construction contractors, construction consultants, and the main construction management team.

The meeting was held at the Multifunction Hall of the Coordinating Ministry Building 1 in the Nusantara Central Government Core Area (KIPP IKN) on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. “Development must continue to prioritize occupational safety. We are working quickly, but it must also be safe and comfortable. Our target is 2028. The three pillars of Nusantara’s development remain quality, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability,” Basuki said in an official statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

He stressed that the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards must be strengthened to minimize workplace accidents amid the accelerated construction of strategic projects across the Nusantara capital.

The Nusantara Capital Authority noted that development is being financed through three funding schemes: the State Budget (APBN), Public-Private Partnership (PPP) schemes, and private investment. Under the APBN managed by the authority, there are 40 physical construction packages, consisting of nine completed in 2025, 15 currently under construction, and 16 in the procurement preparation stage.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works is handling 90 construction packages, with 78 already completed and 12 still under construction. These include the Nusantara Toll Road, the duplication of the short-span Pulau Balang Bridge, and several supporting road projects. The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas is managing 12 construction packages, with 11 completed and one low-cost apartment project still under construction.

On the private investment side, a total of 67 business entities have signed Cooperation Agreements (PKS). Nine projects have been completed, while six are under construction, including Gunadarma University Nusantara Campus, Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Teras by Plataran, as well as several apartment and mixed-use development projects.

Through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, there are 13 proposed projects, consisting of seven residential projects and six road infrastructure projects. In the near future, construction is set to begin on 108 landed houses initiated by PT Intiland Development Tbk and eight apartment towers initiated by PT Nindya Karya.

According to the Nusantara Capital Authority, the monitoring and evaluation forum also serves to discuss strategic issues and challenges in the field while strengthening coordination and aligning the implementation of projects financed through the state budget, private investment, and PPP schemes.
