RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is strengthening efforts to promote violence-free families as the foundation for building future generations. The message was delivered during a National Family Day talk show in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

The discussion was organized by the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). It highlighted the importance of safe, harmonious, and equal families in supporting Indonesia Emas 2045.

Chairperson of Dharma Wanita Persatuan at the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Nova R. Andhika Dwi Prasetya, said families play a fundamental role in shaping children's character. She emphasized that creating violence-free households requires shared responsibility from every part of society.

She said strong families provide the first environment for learning compassion and mutual respect. She encouraged Dharma Wanita members to strengthen family values through safe and supportive relationships.

"The family is the first place where every individual learns about love, mutual respect, and solving problems wisely. Through this activity, I hope all Dharma Wanita members will better understand the importance of building safe, equal, and supportive families that can produce quality generations to realize Golden Indonesia 2045," she said.

The discussion also linked family well-being with sustainable development and gender equality. Speakers said domestic violence affects children's development, productivity, and long-term national development.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) National Secretariat official, Adenira Hargianintya, stressed that national progress begins with healthy families. She said preventing violence at home is essential to achieving sustainable development goals.

"Golden Indonesia begins at home. Therefore, sustainable development must begin by creating families that are safe, healthy, and free from violence," she said.

The Indonesian government continues promoting stronger family resilience through education and public awareness initiatives. These efforts aim to support future generations while advancing sustainable and inclusive national development.
