RRI.CO.ID, Tangerang - The Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), along with the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the opening of IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang Regency.
As Indonesia's largest exhibition for building materials, architecture, and interior design, the event serves as a collaborative platform for architects, designers, consultants, contractors, industry players, and the general public to showcase innovations in the construction sector.
Minister Agus affirmed that infrastructure development must serve as the foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
"The presence of the Minister of Creative Economy at IndoBuildTech Expo is highly relevant to the architecture and interior design sub-sectors, given the dominant role of the construction industry. We aim to deliver infrastructure—such as roads—that is accessible to the wider community, thereby enabling our farmers and fishermen to become more prosperous and productive. After all, it's not about building more, but building better, building smarter, and building for everyone," Agus said on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Creative Economy viewed the hosting of IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 as a pivotal moment to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem, particularly within the architecture and interior design sub-sectors.
According to a press release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Thursday, July 9, 2026, these two sub-sectors play a strategic role in driving the downstreaming of products based on local creativity while simultaneously expanding the market reach of Indonesia's creative industries.
"The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to strengthening the growth of the architecture and interior design sub-sectors so they can make an increasingly significant contribution to national economic growth. With over 400 exhibitors showcasing a diverse range of products, technologies, and outstanding works—including those from the architecture and interior design sub-sectors—I hope IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 continues to serve as a hub for collaboration, breakthroughs, and business opportunities for industry players," the Minister of Creative Economy conveyed.
IndoBuildTech Expo is closely linked to the architecture and interior design sub-sectors, which are integral parts of the Creative Economy Master Plan 2026–2045.
To bolster their development, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to build synergies with various stakeholders—including the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) and the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII)—aiming to enhance human resource quality, strengthen the ecosystem, and foster the creation of competitive works.
IndoBuildTech Expo 2026 features more than 400 exhibitors showcasing a wide array of products, technologies, and the latest innovations in construction, architecture, and interior design.
The exhibition also serves as a collaborative space where creative designers and building material manufacturers can work together to drive the creation of highly competitive, innovative products.
