Nezar: Regional Good Practices Need to be Published for National Inspiration

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Vice Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, emphasized that Indonesia needs good practices from local governments. He explained that this can inspire other regions and serve as a measure of the success of national development.
According to him, innovation and good governance must receive greater coverage in the news to encourage the emergence of more leaders and policies that impact society. "We need more success stories, we need examples, we need good practices to be echoed, positioned, and showcased so they can become role models," he said in Jakarta.
In a press release received by RRI VOI from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Vice Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, expressed his appreciation to all local governments that received awards at the 2026 Warta Kota Awards. The awards recognize local governments' commitment to delivering innovation and building governance that meets the needs of the community.
He also commended Warta Kota's consistency over the years in awarding high-achieving local governments. He stated that appreciating best practices in the regions plays a crucial role in strengthening a culture of innovation while simultaneously encouraging improvements in the quality of public services.
Vice Minister Nezar explained that innovation and good governance are two key factors in realizing sustainable regional development.
"We need more regional governments that are bold enough to introduce innovation, strengthen good governance, and ensure that every program delivers tangible benefits," he said.
He assessed that various regions in Indonesia have demonstrated how innovative leadership can bring about significant change. "That positive impact is the measure of a government's success," he said.
