Indonesian Air Force Improves Personnel Readiness for UN Peacekeeping Missions

RRI.CO.ID, Bogor - Three personnel from the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) participated in the UN Comprehensive Protection of Civilians (UNCPOC) Course 2026 as an effort to strengthen personnel readiness in supporting United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions. The training took place at the TNI Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP), Bogor, from June 22 to 26, 2026.

Based on the press release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia (VOI) on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the course organized by PMPP TNI in collaboration with Defense Military Training Cooperation (DMTC) Canada equipped participants with knowledge and skills regarding the Protection of Civilians (POC), which is one of the important aspects in the implementation of UN peacekeeping operations.

The three Air Force personnel who took part in the training are Captain Jeffri Piliang from Squadron 6, First Lieutenant Navy Harumi from the National Air Operations Command, and First Seargent Khalid from the TNI AU Operations Staff.

The UNCPOC Course 2026 is the second event organized by PMPP TNI with the support of instructors from Canada and Australia. The instructors have experience in various UN peacekeeping missions, including in Africa and Lebanon.

This training was attended by participants from eight countries, making it a platform to enhance personnel capacity while also strengthening international cooperation in peacekeeping operations.

Thru this training, the personnel of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) are expected to be increasingly prepared to carry out their duties in UN peacekeeping missions, while also strengthening Indonesia's contribution to supporting global peacekeeping efforts and the protection of civilians.
