RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy and Coda Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the national gaming industry ecosystem. Through this collaboration, both parties will collaborate on talent development, capacity building for industry players, promotion of local games, and expanding global market access for Indonesian game developers.

Vice Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, attended the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency and Coda Indonesia in Jakarta on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She emphasized that Indonesia has great potential to become a major player in the global gaming industry.

According to her, Indonesia not only serves as a market but also as a birthplace for creative talent, game developers, and esports athletes capable of competing at the global level. "In a very short time, we will see how we can conquer the world with games that make everyone happier," said Irene Umar.

Through the MoU, both parties agreed to collaborate on the implementation of priority programs. Several programs include human resource capacity building, facilitating the participation of digital industry players in business-to-business (B2B) forums, promoting Indonesian digital products and talent, and developing incubation and acceleration programs.

Coda Indonesia is part of Coda Payments, a Singapore-based digital payment technology company focused on the gaming and digital content industries. The collaboration between the two parties also includes the exchange of industry insights, collaborative utilization of facilities and infrastructure, and the development and protection of intellectual property in the digital and creative economy technology sectors.

Coda CEO Shane Happach stated the company's commitment to continuing to support the growth of the Indonesian gaming industry through various initiatives that help local developers reach a wider market. "I hope we can do more to help local developers and players. This is very important," Shane said.
