RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government inaugurated the Integrated JIS–Ancol Infrastructure on Monday, 22 June 2026. The project connects Jakarta International Stadium, Ancol, and public transportation network through several new facilities.
The infrastructure includes the JIS Commuter Line Station, a connecting pedestrian bridge, and a new Ancol gate. The development aims to strengthen connectivity and improve mobility across northern Jakarta.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said urban development should go beyond mere infrastructure expansion. He emphasized the importance of stronger connections between key areas and public transportation networks.
The integration is expected to support sports, tourism, entertainment, and international events. It also provides easier access for visitors without relying heavily on private vehicles.
Pramono said the project reflects Jakarta's ambition to become a more connected global city. The following is his statement delivered during the inauguration ceremony.
“Therefore, connectivity between JIS, Ancol, and public transportation is an important step in realizing a more modern and comfortable Jakarta,” he said.
Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi announced that the JIS Commuter Line Station officially began operations Monday. He said the station is now serving passengers and will continue developing into a permanent facility.
“Starting today, this station is active and can serve passengers. Travel time from end to end is approximately 15 minutes, while the journey to Kota takes around 10 minutes. This station will continue to be developed into a permanent station,” he added.
The Indonesian government expects the integrated transport network to increase public transportation use significantly. The project was a collaborative effort between PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and transportation operators.
