AAU Trains 500 SPPI Participants to Strengthen Cooperatives Empowerment

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Air Force Academy (AAU) organizes Education and Training (Diklat) for the Bachelor of Indonesian Development Drivers (SPPI) of the Red and White Village/Urban Cooperative (KDKMP) and the Red and White Fishermen's Cooperative (KNMP) in 2026. It is done as part of efforts to prepare superior and competitive human resources.

The opening of the training took place at the Dirgantara AAU Field, Yogyakarta, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and was led by AAU Governor, Rear Marshal TNI Donald Kasenda. The program is attended by 500 female participants and will run until July 31, 2026.

In the mandate of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenan General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, read by the Governor of AAU, he conveyed that Indonesia is currently facing various challenges, ranging from geopolitical dynamics, global economic uncertainty, food security threats, to climate change. These conditions demand the presence of resilient, adaptive, and highly integrity human resources.

In a press release received by RRI VOI on Thursday, June 18, 2026, thru the SPPI program, participants will receive character building thru Basic Military Training (Diklatsarmil) as well as managerial training related to cooperative management and the development of the Red and White Fishermen's Village.

This program is expected to produce a generation of young people with leadership skills, discipline, and managerial capacity to support community empowerment and the strengthening of a cooperative-based economy.

The SPPI Training in 2026 consists of two main stages, namely the Diklatsarmil and Managerial Training. After completing the entire series of training, participants are expected to act as agents of change capable of strengthening the institutional framework of village and fisher cooperatives, while also supporting independent and sustainable national resilience.

Thru the implementation of the program, AAU reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of national human resources and preparing the younger generation to contribute to development in various strategic sectors.
