RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Air Force continues to strengthen the mental health training of its personnel as part of efforts to maintain professionalism and readiness in facing increasingly complex task demands. This commitment is realized through the Flying Specialist and Mental Health Combined program that is organized by the Air Force Health Center (Puskesau) at Lanud Adi Soemarmo, Surakarta, on Monday, 15 June 2026.
The activity conducted by the Mental Health Development and Behavioral Misconduct Prevention Task Force (PKMP3) was attended by personnel from Lanud Adi Soemarmo and opened by the Commander of Lanud Adi Soemarmo, Marsekal Pertama TNI Henri Ahmad Badawi.

The Commander of Lanud Adi Soemarmo emphasized that mental health is one of the important factors that support the successful execution of personnels' duties. According to him, in addition to being required to have excellent technical skills and physical readiness, TNI AU personnel must also have a healthy and stable psychological condition.
"Mental health is an important foundation in supporting performance, decision-making, discipline, workplace safety, and the harmony of family and work life. Airmen with healthy mental conditions will be able to carry out their duties more optimally, adaptively, and responsibly," Henri Ahmad Badawi said in a statement received by RRI VOI, Friday, 19 June 2026.
He added that the PKMP3 program has a strategic role as a preventive measure as well as early detection of various psychological issues that could potentially affect the execution of official duties.
During the activities, the PKMP3 Puskesau team provided various training materials covering mental health, psychology, military mental health, suicide prevention, and legal aspects. The training aimed to enhance personnel's understanding of the importance of maintaining mental health and behaviors that support military professionalism.
Through this program, the Indonesian Air Force hopes that the airmen will have better mental resilience, enabling them to perform their duties optimally while also maintaining work safety, discipline, and quality of life both in the workplace and at home.
