RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta --Indonesia's Finance Minister, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, reaffirmed the Ministry of Finance's commitment to maintaining fiscal stability while supporting the implementation of Indonesia's National Priority Programs for 2027 amid ongoing global economic uncertainty.

Speaking at a working meeting with the House of Representatives' Commission XI on the Ministry of Finance's 2027 Budget Work Plan (RKA) and Government Work Plan (RKP) in Jakarta on Monday, Purbaya said the State Budget (APBN) would continue to be optimized as an instrument to sustain economic growth momentum, improve public welfare, and support inclusive and sustainable economic transformation.

"The Ministry of Finance continues to safeguard fiscal performance to drive higher economic growth through strategic measures aimed at optimizing revenue, improving the quality of spending, and promoting innovative financing," he said.

According to him, the commitment is being implemented through several key programs, including the Fiscal Policy, Financial Sector and Economy Program; State Revenue Management Program; State Expenditure Management Program; Treasury, State Assets and Risk Management Program; and Management Support Program.

These programs are designed to support a number of national priorities, including the People's School initiative, anti-smuggling efforts, the development of Red and White Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives, the Free Nutritious Meals Program, the construction of three million homes, improvements in healthcare services, and the implementation of the B50 biodiesel mandate.

During the meeting, Purbaya also noted that Indonesia's economy remained resilient through 2026. The country's economy expanded by 5.61 percent in the first quarter of 2026, while inflation remained under control.

In addition, Indonesia recorded a trade surplus for 72 consecutive months and maintained adequate foreign exchange reserves. On the fiscal front, state revenue reached Rp1.185 trillion as of the end of May 2026, up 19.1 percent from the same period a year earlier.

Meanwhile, state expenditure totaled Rp1.3654 trillion, while financing realization reached Rp379.4 trillion, with the budget deficit and public debt remaining at manageable and prudent levels.

"Indonesia continues to demonstrate strong economic fundamentals, supported by healthy and sustainable fiscal performance amid a highly challenging global economic environment," he said.

Purbaya added that the government would continue to maintain the State Budget's role as a key instrument for protecting people's purchasing power, preserving economic stability, and sustaining growth momentum while upholding fiscal sustainability.
