RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The government has reaffirmed its commitment to maintain the price of subsidized fuel at IDR 10,000 per liter for Pertalite and IDR 6,800 per liter for Biodiesel, as part of efforts to safeguard public purchasing power.

“We want to convey that there will be no price changes for subsidized fuel or LPG,” Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, June 12, 2026.

He explained that keeping subsidized fuel prices unchanged is part of the government’s commitment to protect the public, particularly low-income earners, from the impact of economic volatility and rising energy costs.

Minister Bahlil stressed that only non-subsidized fuel prices are adjusted to reflect market fluctuations. He added that the state-owned energy giant PT Pertamina (Persero) and other downstream oil and gas companies have approached price adjustments cautiously.

Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri confirmed that the prices of Pertalite and Biosolar remain unchanged. However, he noted that Pertamina must adjust non-subsidized fuel prices in line with global geopolitical dynamics and international oil prices, while still considering public purchasing power.

“This price adjustment for non-subsidized fuels is not only implemented at Pertamina gas stations, but also at stations owned by other private companies,” Simon said in a video statement.

He added that amid evolving global challenges, Pertamina, with full government support, remains committed to ensuring energy availability across Indonesia. “We greatly appreciate the public’s support so far, and let’s work together to be wise in using energy,” Simon said. (Misni Parjiati)
