One aspect that has also garnered attention is the potential development of supporting facilities for the aerospace industry, including Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO). These facilities have the potential to support the maintenance needs of both civilian and military aircraft, while also strengthening the national capacity in the aerospace field.

The Air Force Chief of Staff stated that the Indonesian Air Force is fundamentally ready to support the development of Kertajati Airport. This support aligns with the Indonesian Air Force's experience in utilizing aviation facilities in the area thru various training activities and flight operations.

"The Indonesian Air Force has also prepared various studies and internal plans that can be aligned if further support is needed for the operations or utilization of Kertajati Airport in the future," he said.

In the future, the development of the area still requires further discussions with the relevant ministries/agencies so that its utilization direction has a well-planned, integrated, and sustainable roadmap.

Thru this audience, the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and Bappenas strengthen coordination in supporting the formulation of the development direction of Kertajati Airport to provide optimal benefits for national interests, both in terms of connectivity, industry, and defense.
