Dislitbangau Receives an Award for Developing an Aerial Bomb

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Research and Development Agency of the Indonesian Air Force (Dislitbangau) received an award for its success in developing the High Explosive Air Bomb BNT-250 and the Training Bomb BNL-250, as part of efforts to strengthen the independence of the national defense industry.

The award was presented by the President Director of PT Dahana, Hary Irmawan, and the Vise President Director of PT Sari Bahari, Putra Egam, to the Head of Dislitbangau, Colonel Tek Rachmadi Anggoro, represented by the Secretary of Dislitbangau, Marsma TNI Ir. Teguh Dharmawan and the engineering officers during the event held at Dislitbangau, Bandung, Friday, May 29, 2026.

In a press release received by RRI VOI on Friday, June 5, 2026, the successful development of the BNT-250 and BNL-250 serves as evidence of the synergy between the Indonesian Air Force and the national defense industry in producing defense equipment developed by domestic human resources. The collaboration is expected to strengthen defense technology independence while reducing dependence on foreign products.

The development program for the High Explosive Air Bomb BNT-250 has been underway since 2022 and reached the operational testing stage in 2025. The testing was conducted using the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet from the Indonesian Air Force's 3rd Air Squadron.

The results of the operational test show that the air bomb meets the established requirements and is ready to support the operational needs of the Indonesian Air Force.

The Head of Dislitbangau, Kolonel Tek Rachmadi Anggoro, stated that the award serves as an encouragement for the ranks of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) to continue developing strategic innovations in the field of defense. "Mastery of national defense technology is an important factor in maintaining operational readiness while also strengthening the resilience of the nation," the Head of Dislitbangau said.

Meanwhile, PT Dahana and PT Sari Bahari assess that the successful development of the BNT-250 and BNL-250 demonstrates the capability of Indonesian human resources in producing modern, reliable, and highly competitive defense technology. This success also represents an important step in supporting the development of an independent and sustainable national defense industry.
