RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono and the Commander of Joint Defense Area Command III, Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto, held a meeting . It took place at Air Force Headquarters, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The meeting is to foster coordination and operational readiness in supporting the implementation of national defense duties in eastern Indonesia. It is as an effort to strengthen synergy of both.

In the meeting, both parties discussed enhancing cooperation and coordination to strengthen the defense posture in eastern Indonesia, which is one of the national strategic priority areas.

The eastern region of Indonesia holds an important position in the national defense system because it directly faces various regional security dynamics. These conditions demand strong readiness and integrated operational capabilities among defense elements.

In addition, the discussion is also directed toward the readiness of defense components in facing the continuously changing strategic environment to support efforts in maintaining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

The audience reflects the commitment of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and the Joint Defense Command III (Kogabwilhan III) to continue strengthening collaboration and interoperability in supporting an integrated and responsive defense system to various security challenges.
