RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is strengthening the validation of beneficiary data for the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) to ensure assistance reaches eligible recipients accurately and equitably across the country. The effort involves coordination among multiple ministries and government agencies at both national and local levels.

Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya in Jakarta, Monday, June 2, 2026, said data validation has become a key priority in improving the implementation of the nationwide nutrition program. He noted that the process is being carried out through a series of coordination meetings involving representatives from several ministries and supported by the Presidential Staff Office.

According to him, the agency is integrating data from various government databases while conducting field verification to improve accuracy. The approach is intended to ensure that the information used for program delivery reflects actual conditions on the ground.

The verification process is conducted through cooperation between district-level coordinators of the Indonesian Development Mobilizer Scholars Program (SPPI) and local village and subdistrict authorities. These efforts include data matching and verification of beneficiaries in communities across Indonesia.

The beneficiary database covers a wide range of target groups, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, toddlers, students from early childhood education through senior secondary school, and students enrolled in Islamic boarding schools. BGN considers accurate data essential to ensuring that all eligible groups receive nutritional support.

To promote transparency, the agency has made the results of the validation process accessible through a public online dashboard. It has encouraged school principals, community health center administrators, village heads, district officials, and regional governments to actively review data in their respective areas.

Sony said members of the public can report cases where eligible beneficiaries have not yet been registered or have not received services under the program. Reports can be submitted through district-level SPPI coordinators or via a dedicated WhatsApp hotline established by the agency.
