RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The price of aviation fuel, or avtur, in Indonesia dropped by 10 percent on June 1, 2026. This was announced by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun in a written press release on the Pertamina website on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Roberth noted that the price reduction applies to airports across Indonesia, in line with recent global energy price dynamics. The extent of the reduction varies by airport based on applicable pricing formulas and takes into account distribution and logistics factors.

He further explained, “For example, the price of Avtur at the Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) has dropped from Rp24,580 per liter to Rp22,190 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of Avtur at the Ngurah Rai (DPS) AFT dropped from Rp26,190 per liter to Rp23,480 per liter, and at the Kualanamu (KNO) AFT, it dropped from Rp25,720 per liter to Rp23,090 per liter.”

Roberth stated that Avtur price adjustments are conducted periodically every month in accordance with applicable regulations. The calculation is based on the average of international published prices over a given period, with the primary reference being the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) Kerosene/Jet as the regional benchmark.

“This adjustment to the price of aviation fuel is made in accordance with a formula set by the regulator, in this case, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and takes into account global energy price trends. When global energy prices decline, this adjustment will be reflected in the price of aviation fuel in accordance with the applicable mechanism,” he said .

Roberth further explained that this policy is part of efforts to maintain a balance between commercial aspects, supply sustainability, and service reliability for all aviation service users. For the international flight segment, Avtur prices follow market developments and the level of competition in the regional area, while still prioritizing the fulfillment of domestic flight needs.

Currently, Pertamina Patra Niaga serves the national aviation fuel needs through 72 Aviation Fuel Terminals (AFTs) spread across various regions of Indonesia. This service covers both major strategic airports and regional airports.
