RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The government, thru the Ministry of State Secretariat, distributed Presidential Community Assistance in the form of 1,098 sacrificial cows in commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri.

The Deputy Minister of State Secretary, Juri Ardiantoro, explained that the President's sacrificial cattle assistance consists of 598 cattle distributed to provincial, regency, and city governments throughout Indonesia, as well as 500 cattle for Islamic organizations, Islamic boarding schools, and religious leaders in various regions.

All the sacrificial cows are premium cows weighing between 800 kilograms and 1.3 tons, sourced from local farmers in various regions of Indonesia. According to Juri, this step serves as a strategic momentum to enhance the productivity of domestic farmers while also strengthening the national livestock industry.

"On the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, 2026, the President will graciously distribute Presidential Social Assistance in the form of cattle to all provinces, regencies, and cities in Indonesia, as well as to Islamic organizations, pesantren, and religious leaders," the Deputy stated in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He added that President Prabowo Subianto hopes the program can drive the independent development of the national livestock industry.

"The President also hopes that this will be a momentum for the development of the livestock industry in Indonesia to be independent and meet food needs, especially domestic beef," he said.

The types of cattle distributed this year include Simmental, Limousine, Ongole Crossbreed, Brahman, Angus, Bali Cattle, Friesian Holstein (FH), Belgian Blue, and Charolais. All sacrificial animals are ensured to meet livestock health requirements as evidenced by the Livestock Health Certificate (SKKH), and are in accordance with Islamic law as they are over two years old, male, and without defects.
