RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Government Programs to Support Economic Growth will accelerate national economic growth through strategic, integrated measures based on monitoring and evaluation. The Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, which is part of the Task Force, will boost Special Economic Zones (KEK) and optimize priority subsectors such as games, animation, digital content, and applications to maintain investment momentum.
"The first meeting of this task force to accelerate economic growth programs, such as economic packages, economic stimulus, priority government programs, and key programs of several ministries and agencies, based on the President's directives. Regarding the IFC (Indonesia Financial Center), we will form the Task Force itself, including regulations from the government and the House of Representatives. It is hoped that this can provide another option amidst global tensions, with Bali as an alternative," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, while chairing the task force's inaugural meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, also welcomed the IFC's development plan, which will serve not only as a financial center but also as a hub for lifestyle, culture, and the creative economy. Strengthening digital infrastructure, including the development of data centers in the Batam and Bitung Special Economic Zones (SEZs), is also part of the strategy being promoted.
"We are ready to be involved in building the ecosystem, which we mentioned earlier, as a companion, along with regulations, incentive proposals, and talent. This is also important, as the IFC will serve as a bridge for Indonesian creators to obtain intellectual property (IP), financing, or royalty financing," the Minister said.
According to a release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 that based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 4 of 2026, the Ministry of Creative Economy has a strategic role in driving growth by strengthening the creative economy subsector, increasing exports, creating jobs, and investing.
Furthermore, the Ministry is tasked by strengthening cross-sector integration, resolving various obstacles, and executing President Prabowo Subianto's directives within the framework of national economic growth.
As a follow-up, the government will establish a working group (pokja) within the P3M-PPE Task Force, which will cover the formulation of growth strategies, accelerating program implementation and resolving obstacles, regulatory and institutional support, international cooperation, and monitoring and evaluation.
The meeting was also attended by several ministers and heads of agencies from the Red and White Cabinet. The Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by Director of Strategic Studies and Management, Agus Syarip Hidayat.
