RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian government and the private sectors are building up efforts to accelerate rural development through corporate social responsibility programs. The initiative supports the country’s long-term vision of achieving inclusive growth by 2045.
Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, attended the CSR and PDB Award 2026 event in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The event highlighted the contribution of businesses and organizations in supporting national village development efforts.
He also expressed appreciation for regional leaders who demonstrate strong commitment to developing villages through effective use of CSR programs. He also acknowledged the role of state-owned enterprises and private companies in delivering targeted and impactful initiatives.
“We thank state-owned enterprises and the private sector for channeling CSR programs that are well-targeted and beneficial to communities,” Yandri said. He added that these programs are complemented by mentoring and empowerment initiatives to ensure long-term impact.
According to the minister, CSR initiatives have supported various sectors, including thematic villages, economic empowerment, infrastructure, clean water access, and human resource development. These programs allow rural communities to directly benefit from sustainable development efforts.
Yandri urged businesses to further increase their involvement, noting that many villages still hold significant untapped potential. He highlighted opportunities such as export-oriented villages, thematic villages, and climate-resilient villages.
The initiative also follows directives from Prabowo Subianto, encouraging businesses, state-owned enterprises, and government officials to adopt and support specific villages. This approach is expected to accelerate development and strengthen local economies across the country.
Chairman of the Indonesia Social Sustainability Forum, Sudarmanto, welcomed the launch of the CSR Awards 2026. “This is an extraordinary momentum, and we hope it will run well,” he said, emphasizing the importance of sustained collaboration.
