Indonesian Government Sends off Hajj Officers to Saudi Arabia

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah sent off 363 Hajj officers to Saudi Arabia. The send-off was held at Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta, Friday, April 17, 2026.
Vice Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, affirmed readiness for Hajj 2026. He underscored the importance of mental, spiritual, and service-oriented preparedness.
He stated that duties of Hajj officers go beyond technical responsibilities. The role is part of worship and a sacred mission requiring full awareness and responsibility.
Dahnil called on all officers to prepare mentally and spiritually before departure. Emotional control is essential to ensure physical strength is supported by spiritual readiness.
He then delivered a statement highlighting the importance of mental and emotional preparedness. The following remarks underline the need for strong inner readiness.
“We are ready to make Hajj 2026 a success. Mental readiness is crucial, including managing emotions, so physical strength is supported by spiritual strength,” he said.
He also urged officers to view their assignment as part of worship through service. He added that this mission is not only personal but also for family, religion, and the nation.
He then emphasized the importance of sincere intention in serving pilgrims. The following statement reflects the broader meaning of their mission.
“Intend this departure as an act of worship through serving pilgrims so they can perform properly. This is a sacred mission for family, religion, and the nation,” he added.
Moreover, he stressed that PPIH are the frontline of Hajj success and must uphold public trust. He further highlighted the diversity of Indonesian pilgrims, including workers, students, and many elderly individuals.
