RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Creative Economy is opening collaboration opportunities with several strategic partners in the United States. This step is expected to bolster the national creative economy ecosystem through market access, knowledge transfer, and creative talent development.

Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that the United States is one of the countries with great potential for developing a creative economy ecosystem globally.

"Countries with advanced creative economies are those with strong cultural roots. We know America as the locomotive of Hollywood films, and we can follow suit with the creative economy subsector," Teuku Riefky conveyed in an online meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

In line with these efforts, Indonesia also continues to boost its domestic creative economy ecosystem through the development of strategic and integrated areas. These include the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Malang, Nongsa Digital Park (Batam), and Kura Kura in Bali, which are expected to become global collaboration hubs for national creative talent.

"There are also D-HUB SEZs in the Sinarmas area and MNC Group in Lido (Sukabumi). So, our creative industry special economic zones are developing rapidly. This is where we can attract investment from there (the United States)," the minister said.

This meeting with the Indonesian Embassy in the United States demonstrates the Ministry of Creative Economy's commitment to continuously opening up opportunities for international cooperation to develop the value of the national creative economy and improve training for creative economy activists to reach the global stage.
