RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Creative Economy are strengthening collaboration to develop Web3-based digital financial innovations. The partnership aims to drive growth in the national creative economy sector.

Executive Director of Financial Sector Technology Innovation Supervision at the OJK, Adi Budiarso, emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation. He said the synergy is expected to generate new innovations in the digital financial sector.

Previous collaboration between the two institutions was realized through the Infinity Hackathon 2025 and Infinity Accelerator 2026 programs, which produced various Web3-based solutions for financing and protecting creative works.

The Infinity Accelerator 2026 program focuses on transforming intellectual property (IP) into a new asset class. These assets are expected to be digitized, verified, and carry investment value.

“Through the continuity of these programs, the OJK is committed to strengthening the Web3 and blockchain-based innovation ecosystem,” Adi said on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. He added that this effort supports inclusive, adaptive, and highly competitive national economic growth in the digital transformation era.

Creative Economy Ministry Teuku Riefky Harsya said transforming IP into a new asset class is highly strategic for the creative economy. “We want to ensure that Web3-based innovation not only advances technologically,” he said.

Minister Riefky added that a strong regulatory framework is also needed. “So that it can eventually provide tangible benefits for creators and industry players,” he said.

The OJK and the Ministry also stressed the importance of cross-sector coordination in formulating policies related to blockchain technology and crypto assets. Strengthening digital financing models remains a key focus in developing this sector. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
