RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is opening up collaboration opportunities with several strategic partners in the United States. This step is expected to strengthen the national creative economy ecosystem through market access, knowledge transfer, and creative talent development.

The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that the United States is one of the countries with great potential for developing a creative economy ecosystem globally.

"Countries with advanced creative economies are those with strong cultural roots. We know America as the locomotive of Hollywood films, and other creative economy sub-sectors can follow suit. We believe that we must protect the Indonesian culture, its heritage, and its heritage, fostered by innovation, technology, and creativity. This is how the creative economy will thrive," Teuku Riefky conveyed in an online meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo, on Tuesday April 14, 2026.

In line with these efforts, Indonesia continues to boost its domestic creative economy ecosystem through the development of strategic and integrated areas. These include the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Malang, Nongsa Digital Park in Batam, and Kura Kura in Bali, which is expected to become a global collaboration hub for national creative talent.

"There are also some in the Sinarmas area (D-HUB SEZ), and the MNC Group in Lido (Sukabumi). So, our special economic zones for creative industries are developing rapidly. This is where we can attract investment from there (the United States)," the minister said.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Creative Economy also stated that the government continues to promote global collaboration to develop the national creative economy ecosystem, one of which is through the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE). This international conference, which focuses on discussing the development of the global creative economy, will be held in October 2026.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo, welcomed the efforts made by the Ministry of Creative Economy to advance the national creative economy. Therefore, the Indonesian Embassy in the United States is ready to collaborate to find strategic partners in the United States to collaborate with creative economy practitioners through the Ministry of Creative Economy.

Indroyono also encouraged the Ministry of Creative Economy to continue communicating with the Indonesian Embassy in the United States before the WCCE in October. He hopes this will have a positive impact on the investment value of the national creative economy and the development of creative activists in the country.

"We can push export-ready products forward. We will promote those that don't yet have partners in the US, such as apps, crafts, and culinary arts. (The creative economy) is extraordinary and can create many jobs," he explained.

According to a release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Tuesday April 14, 2026, this meeting with the Indonesian Embassy in the United States demonstrates the Ministry of Creative Economy's commitment to continuously open up opportunities for international cooperation to develop the value of the national creative economy and improve training for creative economy activists to reach the global stage.
