RRI.CO.ID, Solo - The Indonesian government ensures Nusuk Card distribution and activation readiness for Hajj pilgrims. Director General of Hajj and Umrah Services, Ian Heriyawan, made the statement in Solo on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The update followed a simulation conducted by Syarikah Rakeen to test the system.
He confirmed the process is well-prepared and coordinated. The simulation involved leaders of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
Executives of Syarikah Rakeen, Amin Indragriri and Jauhara, also attended the activity. The simulation aimed to ensure readiness of Nusuk Card implementation for Indonesian pilgrims.
The card serves as an official identity during their stay in Saudi Arabia. It also supports access to various essential services during the pilgrimage.
Ian also stated that the simulation results showed readiness in both distribution and activation processes. He emphasized that pilgrims should face no obstacles in using the card. The following is his statement regarding the preparation outcomes.
“We want to ensure that the Nusuk Card is received and activated before pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia, so that they can immediately access various services without any disruption,” he said.
He added that early readiness is important to prevent administrative issues during Hajj operations. The system must work smoothly from the beginning of the pilgrimage process.
“The outcome we expect is that no pilgrim will be held back or face difficulties because the card has not yet been activated. Everything must be ready from the start,” he said.
According to him, the simulation clearly demonstrated an effective and efficient process. It provided a practical overview of how the system will operate during Hajj. The process is considered ready for full implementation.
He also highlighted that activated cards will improve service access and mobility management. Monitoring of pilgrims can also be conducted more effectively through the system.
He appreciated the strong collaboration among the Indonesian government, parliament, and service partners.
