ITB Alumni Affirms Collaboration to Support Smart City Development in IKN

RRI.CO.ID, IKN - The Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara received a visit from the Ikatan Alumni Institut Teknologi Bandung East Kalimantan chapter, marking strengthened cross-sector collaboration. The initiative aims to support the development of Ibu Kota Nusantara as a smart city.

Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, welcomed the delegation along with central IA-ITB officials in the core government area on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The meeting served as a platform to encourage alumni contributions in technology, management, and entrepreneurship.

One of the key initiatives discussed was the establishment of the Ganesha Hub as an innovation platform in IKN. The hub is expected to facilitate collaboration among professionals and support the growth of new ideas and ventures.

IA-ITB Chairman, Agustin Peranginangin, underscored the organization’s national commitment to supporting the collaboration. He highlighted the importance of ensuring alumni play a strategic and tangible role in the development of the new capital.

“The IA-ITB central board is fully committed to overseeing the realization of these collaboration points, including strengthening institutional ties, risk management advocacy, and the development of Ganesha Hub,” Agustin said. “We want to ensure that ITB alumni contribute meaningfully to IKN.”

The meeting was also attended by IA-ITB officials, including Agung Wicaksono and Rosa Permata Sari. They provided technical and strategic insights to support the development ecosystem in IKN.

Through this collaboration, the IKN Authority aims to encourage active participation from professionals across sectors. Such partnerships are expected to strengthen innovation and accelerate development in technology and economic sectors.

The development of initiatives like Ganesha Hub is seen as a key step in building a collaborative ecosystem in Nusantara. It is expected to play a significant role in supporting the vision of IKN as a modern and sustainable smart city.
