RRI.CO.ID, IKN - The development of Ibu Kota Nusantara continues as authorities advance plans for public service infrastructure. Head of the Otorita IKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, inspected the planned site for the IKN Police Resort Office in the core government area, Sunday, April 12, 2026.

The establishment of the Polresta IKN is aimed at strengthening public services, particularly security for residents in the new capital. The project is part of broader efforts to ensure institutional readiness as development progresses.

Initial work has begun with land clearing, marking the start of construction activities. The first phase of the project is targeted for completion by the end of 2027.

Spanning approximately 3.24 hectares, the development will include several key facilities. These consist of a main building, a mosque, a ceremonial field, a retention pond, and sports facilities.

The main building is designed as a central hub with six main floors, complemented by a rooftop level and three basement levels. It will house operational spaces such as offices, meeting rooms, and other essential police facilities.

Architectural plans also integrate supporting features, including pedestrian pathways and a multifunctional amphitheater combined with sports stands. These elements are intended to create a functional and cohesive environment within the complex.

During the site visit, Basuki emphasized the importance of centralized coordination in the construction process. He stressed that all development instructions must be carried out under a single command led by the IKN Authority.

“All construction directives must follow one command under the IKN Authority, and every plan must be carefully reviewed and verified,” Basuki stated. He added that comprehensive planning and controlled implementation are essential to ensure the project aligns with the overall development framework of Nusantara.
