RRI.CO.ID, IKN - The development of legislative and judicial complexes in Ibu Kota Nusantara continues in line with directives from Prabowo Subianto, with completion targeted between 2027 and 2028. The project includes the construction of key state buildings along with supporting infrastructure and road networks, based on a release received by RRI VOI in Jakarta, Monday, April 13, 2026.

In the legislative area, the plan covers five main buildings, including the plenary hall and offices for the DPR, DPD, and MPR. The plenary building is designed to accommodate up to 1,579 people, with final design approval currently awaiting presidential consent.

Infrastructure development in the legislative zone also includes the construction of a 3.7-kilometer road network to improve connectivity. Initial stages such as land clearing have already been completed to prepare for further construction.

Meanwhile, the judicial complex is divided into two construction packages. The first includes the Supreme Court building along with supporting facilities and a central justice plaza.

The second package covers the Constitutional Court building, judicial zones, and a mosque. The area will also be supported by an 8-kilometer road network to ensure accessibility across the complex.

Head of the Otorita IKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, emphasized that both projects remain a priority despite ongoing budget efficiency measures. He assured that construction activities would proceed as planned.

“The development of legislative and judicial complexes is not subject to budget cuts and will continue as planned,” Basuki said during a site visit. He added that there is no need for concern regarding the continuity of the projects.

In addition to buildings, water infrastructure is also being strengthened through the construction of reservoirs and retention ponds. Drinking water pipelines are being integrated through a Multi-Utility Tunnel system to support the core government area of the new capital.
