RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's official visit to Moscow, Russia, carries several strategic agendas. He is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the main focus of the visit is to strengthen bilateral cooperation amid shifting global dynamics. "In the midst of ever-changing global dynamics, this meeting is crucial," Teddy stated in a written release on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
One of the key issues on the agenda is energy cooperation between Indonesia and Russia. "We will continue cooperation with the Russian government and ensure a stable national energy supply, including oil availability," Teddy said.
Beyond energy, the two leaders are also expected to discuss the evolving global geopolitical landscape. "The President will articulate Indonesia's strategic position in maintaining global stability and peace," Teddy added.
Through this visit, Indonesia seeks to reinforce its diplomatic role on the international stage. The move also underscores the country's commitment to safeguarding national interests amid global challenges.
Earlier, President Prabowo departed for Moscow on Sunday evening, April 12, 2026. He left Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base at around 11:10 p.m. Jakarta time.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi attended the departure. Military Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Muhammad Herindra were also present.
