Minister Sjafrie to Open Reserve Component Training Program for Civil Servants

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense will soon open a training program for the Reserve Component (Komcad) for Civil Servants (ASN) in Jakarta on Monday, April 13, 2026. The program is planned to involve 2,000 ASN as the first training batch.
Head of the Reserve Component Center at the Ministry of Defense’s National Reserve Agency, Brigadier General TNI Hengki Yuda Setiawan, told the media at the Ministry of Defense, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, that the program will be officially opened by Defense Minister, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin along with several ministers at National Monument, Central Jakarta.
Hengki has also conveyed that participants will undergo 1.5 months of training at six education and training institutions owned by the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Ministry of Defense.
“These six institutions are: Rindam Jaya, Marine Corps Base 1 in Cilandak; Education Wing 500 in Atang Sanjaya; the Health Training Center in Kramat Jati, the Bela Negara Command Center in Rumpin and lastly Halim Perdanakusuma,” Hengki stated.
Moreover, he explained that several ministries have already submitted their ASN participants based on the quota, consisting of individuals aged 18–35. Hengki added that the data was obtained from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) for further verification.
Hengki continued that all Reserve Component participants had undergone administrative screening prior to Eid Al Fitr. Meanwhile, medical examinations have been scheduled from March 30 to April 9, 2026. He noted that several hospitals have been designated as medical check-up locations for the 2,000 ASN participants.
“This process is currently ongoing at the Education Health Center Hospital in Kramat Jati, the hospital of Marine Brigade Infantry 1, the Sudirman Hospital or Ministry of Defense Hospital, as well as the hospital at Halim Perdanakusuma,” Hengki explained.
In addition, Hengki stated that so far officers have observed strong enthusiasm among ASN participants in joining the reserve component training. He said that based on several testimonies, they are eager to become part of the reserve component program under the Ministry of Defense.
“Initially, it may have felt like an assignment from their respective institutions. However, when ASN remember that before becoming civil servants they took an oath and pledge, which includes loyalty to the 1945 Constitution, loyalty to the state, and loyalty to the government, they consciously carry out the directive from their leaders to participate in the Reserve program,” Hengki conveyed
