RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is strengthening collaboration with creative communities to advance cultural development. The initiative was highlighted during a cultural dialogue held in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The discussion involved Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon and Marcella Zalianty, founder of Keana Production. The meeting focused on programs such as children’s festivals, women’s congresses, and films about Indonesian heroes.
Fadli Zon welcomed the initiatives proposed by Keana Production in promoting cultural advancement. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting artists and cultural communities across the country.
“Plans for producing hero films, organizing women’s congresses, and children’s festivals can certainly be carried out collaboratively,” he said. He added that these initiatives could be integrated with flagship programs of the Ministry of Culture.
The minister highlighted the potential alignment between the planned Women’s Congress and the activation of the Mataram Museum in Yogyakarta. He said hosting the congress at a historical site would strengthen its cultural relevance.
“Pendopo Ndalem Joyodipuran, the historic venue of the first Indonesian Women’s Congress, will be activated as part of the Mataram Museum,” Fadli Zon stated. He added that the museum would showcase historical narratives, including youth movements and Mataram Kingdom artifacts.
The Ministry of Culture also encouraged creative communities to utilize funding facilities such as the Dana Indonesia Raya program. Fadli Zon stressed that the government remains committed to supporting cultural initiatives despite global economic uncertainties.
Marcella Zalianty expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the ministry and its support for cultural programs. She said the initiatives are expected to provide education, inspiration, and greater public awareness in preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
