RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia's Ministry of Defense and the Indonesian Military (TNI) are anticipating global geopolitical dynamics that could potentially impact energy stability. The anticipation is by preparing measured and gradual steps to increase fuel efficiency.

The policy implemented by the Ministry of Defense and the TNI aligns with the directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, who underscored the importance of proactive measures and national efficiency without disrupting public services or national preparedness.

Therefore, the Indonesian overnment views the need for early mitigation to maintain economic stability and national resilience.

In a press statement received by RRI VOI on Monday night, March 23, 2026 as a follow-up, the Ministry of Defense and TNI are making internal adjustments administratively and managerially. Efficiency is focused on supporting aspects, while strategic operations and defense readiness remain top priorities and are optimally maintained.

The prepared measures include regulating the use of resources more effectively and based on priorities, including in the operation of primary weapons systems and official mobility. Then, all policies are implemented adaptively, measurably, and in stages according to the needs of each work unit.

Some of the measures being prepared include adjusting the workweek from five days to four days for certain functions. It also includes regulating the use of defense equipment based on priority indexes and operational needs, and limiting the use of official vehicles and employee shuttles, while still maintaining effective task execution.

The Ministry of Defense affirmed that this efficiency is a manifestation of preparedness and discipline in managing strategic resources, not due to an emergency. The government also emphasized that national energy reserves currently remain secure.

Moreover, in implementing the President's directives, Ministry of Defense and TNI invite all elements to work together to reinforce national resilience by prioritizing efficiency, responsibility, and the spirit of national defense.
