RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The discourse on implementing work-from-home (WFH) has been confirmed to be unrelated to the national fuel supply. Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, emphasized this at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
Minister Prasetyo said the national fuel supply remains under control despite tensions in the Middle East. “There will be no issues with the domestic fuel supply, so it has no connection to the WFH proposal,” he stated.
He explained that escalating conflicts affecting global geopolitics should serve as momentum for implementing cost-saving measures. One effective approach, he added, is adopting a WFH policy. “We want this to be a catalyst for correcting, improving, and optimizing the budget,” Minister Prasetyo said.
According to him, President Prabowo Subianto is considering implementing WFH amid the current global geopolitical situation. The government is reviewing the policy's mechanisms.
“We are beginning to realize that everyone must work together to optimize the budget,” he said. Regarding WFH implementation, Minister Prasetyo stressed that details will be communicated to the public as soon as possible. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
