RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta: The Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection and Artha Graha Peduli distributed social assistance to vulnerable children and families ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. The activity took place in Jakarta on Monday, March 17, 2026. The program underscores Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening social protection during Ramadan.
Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi attended the event alongside Deputy Minister Veronica Tan. The assistance targeted women and children living in vulnerable conditions. The collaboration aims to expand outreach and ease economic burdens before Eid.
Before delivering her remarks, the minister stressed that children’s rights must be fulfilled equally and without discrimination. She emphasized the government’s responsibility to ensure protection and proper education for every child.
“Children have equal rights to receive love, protection, and proper education. It is our responsibility as the government to ensure those rights are fulfilled. The presence of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection together with Artha Graha Peduli today is a tangible manifestation of that commitment,” she said.
She added that children are the next generation who will shape Indonesia’s future direction. Investment in children’s rights fulfillment and family strengthening remains essential. These efforts are increasingly important as Indonesia approaches its centennial in 2045.
“By 2045, Indonesia will mark 100 years of independence. The children we meet today will become future leaders determining the nation’s direction. Ensuring they grow in a safe, healthy, and loving environment is our shared responsibility,” she added.
The minister also expressed appreciation to Artha Graha Peduli, organizers, and companions supporting the initiative. She noted that synergy between government, businesses, and communities expands social outreach. Collaboration remains key to strengthening protection and welfare for women and children.
A total of 510 basic food packages were distributed during the program. The aid reached Bekasi Regency and two locations in North Jakarta. The assistance is expected to help families meet essential needs ahead of Eid celebrations.
