Minister Sjafrie Inspects the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion 845

RRI.CO.ID, Bangka Belitung - Indonesia's Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, held a visit to the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion 845/ Ksatria Satam, Belitung Timur on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The Minister of Defense arrived at Hanandjoeddin Air Base, Bangka Belitung, approximately 9:30 a.m.

The Minister of Defense was accompanied by high-ranking Ministry of Defense officials and the Head of the Defense Information Bureau, Brigadier General TNI Rico Sirait. He was also accompanied by Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) General Tandyo Revita and Deputy Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Saleh.

The Minister of Defense inspected directly to the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion 845 the Ksatria Satam, Belitung Timur. He was received by the Sriwijaya Military Regional Commander, Major General TNI Ujang Darwis, and the commander of the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion 845, Lieutenant Colonel Barlian Prabowo.

The Minister of Defense was received with line of honor from the Infantry Battalion of Territorial Development personnel. He was also greeted with cheers and a martial art performance, Pencak Silat.

Furthermore, the Minister of Defense personally inspected the readiness of the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion 845 personnel. Sjafrie further monitored the battalion's facilities, such as checkpoints, barracks rooms, which include folding beds, toilets, a living room, and weapons.

During his barracks visit, Minister Sjafrie instructed Lieutenant Colonel Barlian Prabowo to promptly monitor all facilities within the battalion.

"This room must be kept clean and maintained. If anything is damaged, report it immediately. Any damage will be replaced," the Minister said.

After inspecting the battalion's facilities, the Minister held a meeting with the Sriwijaya Military Regional Commander, Major General Ujang Darwis, and the commander of the Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Barlian Prabowo, and the Territorial Development Battalion staff. (AF)
