RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo conducted a working visit to Purabaya Terminal on Sunday, March 15, 2026. This inspection was carried out to ensure the readiness of services and security for land transportation ahead of the peak of the Eid homecoming flow.

Accompanied by the Vice Governor and East Java regional leaders, the Police Chief directly monitored the major transportation hub. The group inspected all terminal facilities to guarantee that operations run optimally for all departing passengers.

Sigit took the time to board a bus to greet and interact directly with travelers returning to their hometowns. Furthermore, he also checked the readiness of the health post specifically provided for the public within the terminal area.

During the visit, Sigit inspected safety procedures such as vehicle ramp checks and driver health screenings. He emphasized that the health of the bus crew is crucial to preventing accidents during long-distance journeys.

“This visit was conducted to observe the services at Purabaya Terminal firsthand, where we had the chance to interact with people traveling to various regions, both inter-regional and inter-island,” Sigit said.

General Listyo Sigit explained that synergy between agencies is vital to creating a safe and comfortable homecoming flow for all citizens. This inspection is expected to minimize field obstacles during the anticipated surge in passenger numbers in the coming days.

Lastly, the General urged drivers not to force themselves to drive if they feel exhausted during the trip. This was highlighted as part of the National Police's efforts to ensure that the public reaches their destinations safely.
