President Prabowo Discusses National Strategic Issues

RRI.CO.ID, Bogor - Defense Minister, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, attended a series of meetings led by Prabowo Subianto with several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet in Hambalang, Bogor. The meeting was part of the government's coordination agenda to discuss various national strategic issues.

The meeting brought together heads of several ministries and institutions to align steps in implementing the government's priority programs. Comprehensive discussions were conducted to ensure that each policy aligns with the direction of national development.

One of the main topics discussed was the progress of the construction of ten new campuses focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. The construction of these campuses is expected to strengthen the capacity of Indonesia's human resources in science and technology.

In addition to STEM fields, the government is also focusing on the development of medical education as part of efforts to strengthen the national health sector. Increasing the capacity of medical universities is considered crucial to meet the need for qualified medical personnel in various regions.

During the meeting, President Prabowo Subianto also discussed the development of state universities in Indonesia, including opportunities for collaboration with leading universities worldwide. International collaboration is expected to improve the quality of higher education while expanding global research networks.

In addition to education issues, the President also highlighted the geopolitical developments in the Middle East, which continue to attract global attention. These dynamics are considered to have far-reaching impacts and require continued monitoring by the Indonesian government.

The President also discussed the progress of Palestinian students studying at the Indonesian Defense University. The government assured them that the educational process for these students will proceed smoothly amidst the current situation facing their home country.

The meeting also discussed the government's preparedness for the exodus (mudik) ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Through cross-ministerial coordination, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of infrastructure, transportation, and public service readiness to ensure safe and smooth public mobility during the exodus period.
