RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) ensures that all participants can still access healthcare services during the Eid al-Fitr exodus period, especially for catastrophic services such as dialysis. This includes Contribution Assistance Recipient (PBI) of National Health Insurance (JKN) who were previously inactive.
BPJS Kesehatan President Director Prihati Pujowaskito stated that inactive PBI participants who require critical healthcare services will still be served by healthcare facilities. "So, for inactive PBI participants, those who require catastrophic services such as dialysis can still be served for life," he said in Jakarta on Monday, March 9, 2026.
"Meanwhile, for the 11 million currently undergoing ground checks, we are awaiting data from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS)," he added. BPJS Kesehatan is still awaiting the latest data from BPS and Kemensos regarding inactive PBI participants to determine the next participant segment.
"If we are given a list to move segments or if it is later reactivated by the Ministry of Social Affairs, we will provide services. We are waiting for a letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding the segment transfer," he said.
Prihati emphasized that the convenience of JKN services must continue to be enjoyed by the public anytime and anywhere throughout Indonesia, including during the Eid al-Fitr exodus period.
To ensure participants can still access administrative services directly, BPJS Kesehatan will open services at branch offices on March 18, 20, 23, and 24, 2026. Services will be open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. local time.
"The Eid exodus period should not be a barrier for participants to obtain healthcare services. BPJS Kesehatan ensures that JKN Program services remain easily accessible," he said.
This way, people can travel home with peace of mind, knowing their health protection is guaranteed.
In addition, BPJS Kesehatan has established Exodus Posts at several strategic locations. This is to provide information, consultation, and assistance to JKN participants during their travels.
The BPJS Kesehatan Exodus Posts will operate from March 13–26, 2026, at several locations, including Merak Port (Banten), Pulo Gebang Terminal (East Jakarta), the 88A Cipularang Toll Road Rest Area (Purwakarta), the 166A Cipali Toll Road Rest Area (Majalengka), and the 429A Ungaran Toll Road Rest Area (Semarang).
Furthermore, the 519A Masaran Toll Road Rest Area (Sragen), the Purabaya Terminal (Sidoarjo), and Soekarno-Hatta Port (Makassar).
The presence of these posts is expected to provide comfort for travelers and facilitate participants in obtaining information regarding the JKN program services during their travels.
Meanwhile, the Director of Health Service Guarantees at BPJS Kesehatan, Abdi Kurniawan Purba, stated that JKN participants can still access health services even if they are outside their domicile area.
According to him, if the community health center, clinic, or family doctor where the participant is registered is closed or the participant is out of town, the participant can still receive services at another Primary Health Facility (FKTP) that collaborates with BPJS Kesehatan and remains open.
In addition, BPJS Kesehatan also guarantees health services for participants involved in traffic accidents in accordance with applicable regulations. "In the event of a multiple accident, the cost of the first health service will be covered by Jasa Raharja up to a maximum of IDR 20 million," he said.
"If the cost of health services exceeds that amount, the difference will be covered by BPJS Kesehatan in accordance with applicable regulations," Abdi added. (Misni Parjiati/Lasti Martina)
