RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that Indonesia is on the right path with its foreign policy amidst global conflict. He stated that the principles of non-alignment and impartiality form the basis of Indonesia's stance in the face of international dynamics.

"Wars are breaking out everywhere, in almost every region of the world, especially in the Middle East. Not long ago, we witnessed a major war in Europe, in Ukraine, and now the entire Middle East is affected," said President Subianto while inaugurating the construction of hundreds of bridges across Indonesia online via the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel on Monday, March 9, 2026.

He stated that although Indonesia is geographically far from these conflict zones, their impact can still be felt. "Even though we are geographically far from those areas, our world has truly become small," he said.

The President says that conflicts in one region can impact others. Indonesia will continue to pursue an independent and impartial foreign policy.

"Our nation is on the right track. We are on the path of impartiality. We have always been on the path of freedom, activity, and non-alignment," said President Prabowo.

The Head of State emphasized that Indonesia has no interest in joining any particular power bloc. This stance is part of Indonesia's diplomatic principles, which prioritize balance and peace.

“We do not want to join any bloc. We respect all powers and all countries. Indonesia is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, both domestically and internationally,” President Prabowo said, referring to the national motto meaning Unity in Diversity, which underscores Indonesia’s commitment to respecting differences while maintaining cohesion.
