RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto hosted an iftar gathering with several Islamic scholars and leaders of Islamic mass organizations at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Thursday, 5 March 2026. The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere during the holy month of Ramadan.

The gathering served as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the government and religious leaders. The Ramadan moment was also used to reinforce communication and solidarity between the government and Islamic figures.

The event began with an intensive discussion involving the President, Islamic scholars, and several members of the Red and White Cabinet. The discussion addressed a number of strategic issues currently attracting both national and global attention.

Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Nusron Wahid, who also chaired the organizing committee, said the meeting was conducted in an open and constructive dialogue. He noted that religious leaders and the government discussed several important developments.

“From the meeting earlier, the scholars and leaders of Islamic organizations agreed to establish intensive communication and to understand the positions taken by the Indonesian government,” Nusron Wahid said.

He added that Islamic leaders also expressed support for the government’s stance in responding to global developments. “They then reached a conclusion, expressing hope that leaders of Islamic organizations and Islamic figures would stand together with the President in one line,” he said.

According to him, the unity shown during the meeting is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s role in promoting global peace. “To work together in striving for peace in the Middle East,” he said.

The meeting also reflected President Prabowo’s commitment to maintaining communication with Islamic scholars and leaders of religious organizations. Through dialogue and togetherness, the gathering is expected to strengthen unity and support efforts to promote peace amid evolving global dynamics.
