RRI.CO.ID, Makassar - Personnel of the 3rd Infantry Division of Army Reserve Command (Kostrad) conducted shooting exercises to sharpen combat instincts and enhance the professionalism of the troops. This activity also aims to maintain the unit's readiness in supporting the execution of its primary duties.

The exercise was directly led by the Commander of the 3rd Kostrad Infantry Division, Major General Bagus Suryadi Tayo. The activity took place in the Gowa region, South Sulawesi, on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

On that occasion, the Commander of Division 3 Kostrad affirmed that shooting skills are a fundamental ability that every soldier must possess. These skills must be continuously honed consistently and measurably thru regular training.

According to him, shooting practice is not merely a formal activity in the training of soldiers. "As Kostrad soldiers, shooting skills are not just a formality in training, but a part of our identity and professional responsibility," Bagus said.

The training was conducted with a focus on safety factors and adherence to standard military procedures. The officers underwent several stages of training, starting from weapon inspections to shooting performance evaluations.

In addition, participants also practice basic aiming techniques and breath control to improve shooting accuracy. These stages are an important part of developing the combat skills of professional soldiers.

This activity also serves as a manifestation of the leadership's commitment to providing direct examples to the members. Thru this training, it is hoped that the officers of Divif 3 Kostrad will be increasingly prepared to face various task dynamics and maintain professionalism standards as part of the strategic forces of the Indonesian National Army.
