RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto received the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, 2 March 2026. The meeting discussed the government's readiness to maintain the stability of food supply and prices during the holy month of Ramadan and leading up to Eid al-Fitr.

After the meeting, Minister Zulkifli Hasan, emphasized that President Prabowo's directive is very clear, namely to ensure the availability and affordability of basic necessities for the community.

"Yes, we are ensuring that during the fasting month and before Eid, food stocks must be monitored closely," said Zulkifli Hasan in his press statement to the media.

According to him, President Prabowo gave direct instructions for comprehensive supervision to be carried out in the field. He also admitted to receiving special assignments to tour and ensure that various priority programs run optimally.

"I was ordered to tour and ensure that food, MBG, Kopdes, and waste management are running smoothly." And of course, basic food supplies, fasting, and Eid must be available, affordable, and prices must not increase," he emphasized.

With cross-sectoral oversight, the government ensures that food distribution runs smoothly, prices remain stable, and the needs of the community are met throughout Indonesia. Food stability is not just an economic agenda, but a commitment of the state to maintain the tranquility of the people in carrying out Ramadan worship until celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

This meeting also reaffirms the government's focus on maintaining national food security, overseeing the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, strengthening the Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes), and ensuring environmental governance such as waste management continues to run smoothly amidst the increased activities of the community during the fasting month and Eid al-Fitr.
