RRI.CO.ID, JAKARTA: National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the National Police will conduct Operation Ketupat from 13 March to 25 March 2026. Hundreds of thousands of joint personnel will be deployed to secure and provide services for those traveling home for Eid al-Fitr.
General Listyo Sigit Prabowo made this statement while leading an intersectoral coordination meeting regarding Operation Ketupat readiness at the PTIK Building, South Jakarta, Monday (March 2, 2026).
"Therefore, this year we are implementing Operation Ketupat, which will run from March 13 to March 25," said Sigit.
He explained that this year's tagline is 'Safe Homecoming and Happy Families.' In its implementation, Sigit said, preemptive and preventive measures, as well as law enforcement, will be prioritized.
"Of course, we will try to minimize the number of people traveling to the airport so that this truly becomes a community service," said Sigit.
Sigit also revealed that the operational structure has been established, with minor adjustments being made. This will ensure that the Special Operations Chief, led by the Traffic Corps Chief, can truly control all ranks when making operational decisions.
Furthermore, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that 161,000 joint personnel will be deployed in Operation Ketupat to ensure maximum security and public services during the Eid homecoming and return trip.
"There are 161,000 joint personnel, consisting of the National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), relevant agencies, and all relevant parties. We certainly hope for maximum cooperation for the success of the homecoming and return travel," Sigit concluded.
