RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, attended the Gala Premiere of the theme songs for Timun Mas in Wonderland at XXI Epicentrum, Jakarta, Thursday, 26 February 2026. The event marked an important milestone in the production of the family musical drama film by SINERA FILMS and the official launch of its soundtrack.

In his remarks, Fadli expressed appreciation for the growing number of Indonesian artists drawing inspiration from folklore. “This is a very interesting theme because it comes from our own traditional folktale,” he said.

He noted that the launch of the theme songs could inspire Indonesian children to take pride in local stories. “Indonesia, as a mega-diverse nation with 1,340 ethnic groups and 718 languages, has extraordinary stories that can be developed into strong intellectual property,” he stated.

Fadli also reaffirmed the Ministry of Culture’s full support for the initiative, citing its alignment with Article 32 Paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution on advancing national culture. “We hope that Indonesian films, songs, musicals, and theater productions will be enjoyed by international audiences,” he said.

Dadan Mahdar, Director of Visual Arts and Performing Arts at the Ministry of Creative Economy, described the gala premiere as more than a song launch. “When film, music, and performing arts are integrated, we preserve not only cultural heritage, but also drive the growth of the creative industry,” he said.

He explained that the production process was developed in a structured manner, beginning with story development and the Magical Casting Bootcamp, and continuing through integrated music production within a creative ecosystem. According to him, such integration could strengthen the creative economy as a future economic force.

Meanwhile, Timun Mas in Wonderland Creative Director Andrei Aksana said the project was designed as a platform for young Indonesians to grow and dream boldly. “May every step, every note, and every movement in these songs send a message to the world that Indonesia has a generation ready to shine on the global stage,” he said.

The gala featured exclusive live performances by the cast, presenting 17 original theme songs, including “Jus Ketimun,” “Welcome to Wonderland,” “Dunia Warna Warni,” and “Atas SeizinMu Yaa Allah.” The minister expressed optimism that Timun Mas in Wonderland would become an important milestone in advancing Indonesian culture and reach international markets.
