RRI.CO.ID, Bandung – The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) held a dialogue to discuss national data integration in Bandung on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. This step aims to ensure food supply for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.

Head of the BRIN Center for Data Science and Information Research (PRSDI), Esa Prakasa, stated that the activity is a forum to consolidate various important data. The data is such as food stocks and operational locations to support the MBG program.

“This activity aims to review the needs and challenges of integrating production, stock, distribution, price, and location/spatial data relevant to MBG operations,” Esa said.

In addition, this dialogue aims to obtain perspectives from the National Nutrition Agency. The focus is on the data validation process and the important role of local governments.

He hopes that this webinar will produce strong recommendations for national data integration. This will be outlined in the MBG National Single Map framework.

“This webinar is expected to produce recommendations for strengthening digital governance and national data integration within the MBG National Single Map framework,” Esa hoped.

Through this data integration, BRIN hopes that challenges related to the scattered distribution of food data between agencies can be immediately resolved. This is very important to ensure the availability of high-nutritional sources, such as fish, remains stable and affordable for communities at all levels, from the regional to the central level.

In addition, the use of accurate location or geospatial data is key to determining the location of public kitchens so that there are no discrepancies. The “Towards a Single National MBG Map” dialogue is a concrete step in the collaboration between BRIN, the Geospatial Information Agency, and the National Nutrition Agency for the success of this program.
