RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) continues enhancing its doctrine as part of developing adaptive soft power capabilities. These improvements are also aimed at responding to the evolving strategic environment and advancements in military technology.

The Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, made the statement at the meeting at Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. While leading the meeting, he also affirmed that this effort was carried out through the Third Draft Review Meeting of the revised Indonesian Air Force Doctrine, Swa Bhuwana Paksa (SBP).

In an official statement received by RRI VOI on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, during the forum, the Air Force Chief affirmed the importance of a future-proof doctrine with long-term relevance and alignment with the Indonesian Air Force’s strategic plans and force posture. According to him, rapid changes in the strategic landscape and military technological developments demand continuous adaptability.

He also highlighted the need to align the Swa Bhuwana Paksa Doctrine with national strategic policies, including the Air Blanket System within the framework of the Perisai Trisula Nusantara. This synchronization is considered crucial to strengthening the national air defense system as a whole.

Furthermore, the doctrine is expected to be consistent with the Indonesian Military (TNI) Doctrine Tri Dharma Eka Karma (Tridek) and applicable laws and regulations. It is also expected to be operationally and tactically implementable by all units in the field.

On the same occasion, the Air Force Chief expressed his appreciation to the drafting team for the progress achieved up to the Third Draft Review stage. He described this phase as an important milestone to ensure the doctrine is fully developed before being officially established.

In addition, the refinement of the Swa Bhuwana Paksa Doctrine is expected to strengthen the Indonesian Air Force’s role in realizing an adaptive and integrated national air defense system. The revised doctrine must also be capable of sustainably ensuring national sovereignty and security.

Besides the Air Force Chief, the event was also attended by the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff, Vice Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi, along with other high-ranking officials of the Indonesian Air Force.
