RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – In achieving one year of program success, the Indonesian government is expanding its Free Health Check-up Program (CKG), specifically targeting the nation’s massive workforce. The Ministry of Transmigration and the Ministry of Health have intensified "on-site" screenings, bringing medical professionals directly to workplaces rather than waiting for employees to visit clinics.
According to the Ministry of Health, one of the programs from this initiative is the recent partnership at the Grab Excellence Center, an online taxi company, in Jakarta. Meanwhile, Vice Minister of Transmigration, Viva Yoga Mauladi, supervised the implementation of the CKG on Tuesday, 11 February 2026. Under the directive of President Prabowo Subianto, the program is focusing toward early detection of chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, to prevent long-term absenteeism and medical costs.
"The CKG program is the state's responsibility to ensure the health of all people, from infants to the elderly, including workers like Grab drivers, who are required to maintain good health to remain productive," Vice Minister Viva Yoga stated.
The target of this CKG is thousands of ride-hailing and delivery partners who operate in high-stress, high-pollution environments in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek). The screenings are tailored for the risks posed by drivers’ daily activities on the road.
After a successful pilot year in 2025 that reached 70 million participants, the Indonesian government has set an ambitious new target to reach 130 million citizens with prioritized focus on active workers and students.
The Ministry of Health also has collaborated with BAZNAS (The National Alms Agency) to launch the Healthy Motorcycle Taxi Shelter (Shelter Ojek Sehat or SOS) program from 11 February to 18 February in several locations across Greater Jakarta. This program is another initiative in line with the ministry goal in 2026 as Indonesian people will celebrate Ramadhan.
