RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita is strengthening the country’s economic pillars through more integrated industrial services policies. He emphasized that integrating quality standards is crucial to improving manufacturing competitiveness in the global market.

The government is committed to transforming all technical services to be more responsive to current market dynamics. The New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) serves as the primary guideline to ensure that domestic manufactured products are safe and sustainable.

“The integration of the Standardization and Industrial Services Policy Agency (BSKJI) services is part of the Ministry’s efforts to create an efficient, adaptive, and highly competitive industrial ecosystem. Standardized, transparent, and integrated services will provide certainty for industry players and strengthen market confidence in national products,” Minister Agus said in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The Ministry has adopted a Strategic Control business model to manage operational functions more systematically. This planning is reinforced by integrated financial management to support the growth of the real industrial sector.

Implementing a single-brand portal is a key pillar of delivering transparent, one-stop public services. This integrated information system allows business actors to track certification processes accurately and efficiently.

Currently, BSKJI manages 24 Technical Implementation Units across Indonesia. The Ministry is maximizing the potential of 2,360 competent personnel by sharing resources across functional work units.

Certification auditors are mobilized flexibly to meet the technical service needs of various units, while asset and human resource consolidation ensures that internal capacity is fully utilized.

BSKJI Head Emmy Suryandari reported that Non-Tax State Revenue showed strong growth, rising significantly from IDR 228.34 billion (USD 13.61 million) to IDR 329.77 billion in the same period last year.

Private-sector confidence is reflected in the increase in customers, now totaling 23,000 companies. Emmy explained that most services are currently concentrated in product testing and certification.

“Currently, BSKJI’s services are still dominated by testing at 47.5 percent and certification at 27.5 percent. However, we are encouraging service diversification to be more adaptive to industry needs,” she said.

The government has also introduced a mechanism to utilize special balances for work units with Public Service Agency status. This step was taken to address liquidity imbalances and maintain operational stability across regions.

Strict risk management remains the foundation for exercising this financial flexibility, ensuring that public service quality for industry players is sustained.

“Through this service transformation, the Ministry emphasizes that improving service quality and capacity is a top priority. Increased state revenue is a consequence of the growing trust of industry players in the excellent services provided by BSKJI,” Emmy said. (Gusti Panji/Lasti Martina)
